It shows that education is a priority here. Overall graduation rates in  Contra Costa counties surpassed the statewide average, while dropout rates fell below. Contra Costa's graduation rate climbed 0.2 percentage points to 85.9 percent and dropout rates declined from 8.2 to 8.1 percent.
